    Tell 3 question

On the underside of my Tell 3 barrel is the word "Foreign" in small letters. Is that common to all Tell 3s? Is this a indication it was built for export?

I've examined two Tell 3s and neither has the 'foreign' marking. It would indeed seem your pistol was earmarked for export, I can't think why else it would have that marking?

This the only other pistol I have found on the internet with that marking. But the marking is so small and obscure it may go unnoticed and not photographed? Could explain why my pistol was in the US? But a lot can happen to a pistol in 80 years. Of course my contention is this is a rarer subset of a already rare pistol which obviously deserves a substantial premium in the marketplace. Lol trying to make up for the cracked grip!
