From what I can work out, each time it is cocked, it loads a pellet from a magazine of 'shells' in a tube under the barrel, then stores the empty 'shell' in another tube above the barrel. The magazine holds 30 rounds, and the whole thing looks the dogs ballcocks!

Not much of the original pistol is left, the barrel is fixed and an under lever device installed, plus all the other cool looking bits; he must have a fantastic workshop, and I have a serious case of tool envy....
