i used to use water balloons. not very reusable but fun to hang on the trees. and the kids loved them.
one i got told off for. water balloons filled with baby powder. makes quite a cloud.
the only thing i can find wrong is the nut on the steering wheel.

Along with extra strong mints try Love hearts, at roughly 14mm in diameter they make great targets at 50yds!

My personal favourite is cherry tomatoes, they explode nicely and make a thwack sound when hit.

mates and I have been shooting at these water beads
    [url]http://www./itm/1000pcs-Water-Balls-Crystal-Pearls-Jelly-Gel-Bead-for-Orbeez-Toy-Refill-Decor-CB

Cheap as chips ...lots of colours / quantity.....expanded with water to approx 10mm > 15mm ...you can get the larger ones ..but they cost more.
or you can take them from expanding a little earlier when they are 5mm+ ....if you feel lucky LOL !
Some are easier to see than others....I have found orange the easiest.

They make a thwack when hit ... and they are gone ! no mess.....

I put one packet in a pint glass and almost fill it with water ...leave a few hours ..job done ... and almost
a pint of beads ..put em in a sealed plastic container and they keep for ages and can be carried about.....
if they start drying / shrinking ...(they are not around long enough to do this)....simply top up with water again.....plenty of targets

    Some great ideas!

    Never thought about ice-cubes before

My favourite when I was younger were clothes pegs still attached to my Granny's washing line...HAHA...good times.

I still do the clothes pegs, Mrs thinks it's jackdaws attacking them.

Eggs are another favourite of ours, it's like an Easter egg hunt when I hide 30-40 around the garden

Plastic bottles of unleaded with a firebird exploding target taped to it..

You need a large garden for this.

If you don't mind cleaning up afterwards we have drilled a length of wood with holes to fit the neck of party poppers and let the string go through first then tie an m8 nut to the string so when you hit the nut with the pellet it sets it off you can use Various sorts glitter etc or remove the streamers and put a layer of talc but if you like a good flash a small layer of icing sugar or custard power but only outside at 30yards so you don't singe your eyebrows things you do to pass time
