    Can't fault a bit of make do 'n mend. Good result. Just adding that a spare chuck in a scrap bearing/hand vice can stabilise the free end for skinny jobs.

    Thats great , If you'd just posted the completed pic anyone would think it'd been lathe turned. Brass is fine for none stressed part to the doubters, just don't use it for stressed parts, as a qualified engineer freind of mine found out when he made a square section sissy bar for his hardtail harley chop!
