    HW 110, Rear swivel stud.

A bit of advice appreciated please.
Wondering if I'm liable to encounter any problems fitting a rear swivel stud into an HW110 rubber coated stock, a bit worried about the possibility of water ingress getting between the coating and the wood underneath or any other issues.

    Thanks in advance.

    Chris.

I think theres a butt pad spacer stud available. I would consider taking a look.

There is nothing more nerve wracking than drilling your stock. My favourite was the guy who measured it out, masked the spot, punched a centre so the drill wouldn't slip, used graduated, sharp drill bits to the required size, and fitted the stud....

To the top of his stock!

    Brilliant.
Thanks to the pair of you, found the part on the bay and ordered.
If anyone else want to have a go the screws holding the existing butt pad on are PH2 driver size, you can't see the damned things.
    Thanks again.

    I put one on my HW100 .
Somebody gave me a tip to put a tiny bit of grease on the end of the screwdriver before going through the rubber.

    On the butt pad .
You have to locate the screws by passing a screwdriver through the small indents in the butt pad .

Bought one for my hw100 just couldn't get on with it the fit was terrible 1mm to small on the stock then same on the butt pad it looked bad , thought it could have been a one off so purchased another and was the same , just drilled mine in the end couple of quid compared to £32 , smear of silicone before the last few turns will stop water getting in , good luck

    110 sling stud

Yep done my 110 ,drilled using normal wood drill . I’ve drilled the front as well slightly in front of original so there is no pulling down of the barrel spacer when using sling or swivel.
