    TX in a 77 stock

    Afternoon,
Has anyone ever successfully re-inletted a HW77/97 stock, to fit a TX200 action?
Many years back I remember John Alcock saying the prototype TX (no beartrap but otherwise very similar) fit into his 77 AirMasters stock with a tiny amount of chiselling but I wondered if anyone had recently undertaken such a task.

    Cheers, Craig

Well, I've had a quick look, Craig.

The front of the 77 stock will need inletting to get the front of the TX action in and the rear of the stock will need filling around the rear of the round TX trigger block.

The Weihrauch trigger guard will fit the TX screws but you may need to make a new alloy front saddle for the forward stock bolts.

    All the best Mick

    You're a gent, Mick - cheers mate.
Pretty much the same as my findings which is great - as long as I know it's do-able I can carry on planning.
Thanks again, mate - see you at the weekend.

    Cheers, Craig
