    John Ostler regs.

I have an SM100 fitted with a John Ostler reg. It appears to need some attention. If I keep the gun fill down to 160 bar, it's excellent, but put a bit too much air in, even only to 180, and it's all over on the chony, so it must be the reg. Is it an easy to do DIY, or does it need doing by someone who has the knowledge and the tackle to do it?

    Ostler regs

Sorry mate but I have no experience of 'Ostler' Regs, does sound as though the reg isn't regulating and that is usually down to the 'o' rings (unless the spring(s) has failed?).
But if you think you have the skills to strip it down and take a look then you haven't lost anything up to that stage, if it all appears ok then you will need to re-assemble and send it all to Mr Ostler or somone else that does service them.

Ask John Ostler-he is still working on rifles. I have lost his contact number-I am sure there are people on here with it-Matt Hirst (username Matt) is in touch with John
