    Cool Bowman Classic Scores

    Hi All

Bowman Scores are up http://www.mvac.co.uk/index.php/hft/...assic-results/ (They were already up before the prize giving, how's that for efficiency!)

Thanks to everyone who came along today, for all those that “Went for it” on the Gamble, well done you guys you know who you are!

Great turn out, lovely weather and a great course, topped off with some kind words at the prize giving from Teresa May’s private secretary George Hollingbery, regarding UK Airgun Law. Good to know we have a seat at the top table when it comes to that particular threat to our great sport.

    Vince Blackman – 1st Open – 64
    Mike Barkus – 2nd Open (Shoot off) – 56
    John Cooper – 3rd Open (Shoot off) – 56

    Mick White – 1st Recoiling – 42
    Kim Mulford - 2nd Recoiling - 22

    Mike Burgess - 1st Veterans - 67
    Doug McErlain - 2nd Veterans - 53

    Colin Medway 1st .22 – 58

    George Danvers – 1st Juniors (Shoot off) – 33

    Steve Miller – 1st Meon Top Shot - 71

Totally agree. Reckon your stats team should post the scores from HFT and Gamble as well as totals.

    Would definitely be interesting
I managed 28 in the gamble section.
    2 standers, 12 kneelers of which I hit 11 and I bottled 6 targets

I reckon I 'cheated' a bit. While not bottling any, I did take all bar 1 kneeling.

Outcome = plated the lone stander (an easy close huge kill thing up a tree - doh!) and one kneeler (lane 40) for a net score of 31 on the Gamble.

    Many thanks ....

    ...to all Meonites.

Great pair of courses and great day, well organised.

Thanks too to my chauffeur (Vince) and same and Charles P for helping the old-n-infirm one round the course.

Could kick self for failing to knock over the one gamble shot I braved standing. Perfectly steady hold, wobbling but well within the kill, right up to the second my trigger finger yanked the crosshairs out of it. Stupid Biggles.

    Hey ho - there's always 2018
