    hw 45 Shoulder stock

I'm considering one of these but the dealer says they
only fit the models with wooden grips. Can I get one for my
rubber grip model or do I have to change to wooden grips?

If it's like the factory HW design that uses an 'L' shaped adapter plate under one of the grips - I can't see why the choice of grips would matter.

But you would likely need longer screws on the side with the adapter plate.

Also, the factory stock came with a taller front sight.

    Its a bad idea...
I tried a lovely one for a number of months....an early HW own version with lovely grain....
It seemed to cause the gun to bounce more and this fits with whats being said above in regard to sights..
I also noticed an additional throw to the left ....require fresh adjustment to sights everytime it was put back to pistol format....
THe stock was also found to be very long in length and made the gun quite unweildy
keep it as a pistol ...

Yes I've heard most people find them disappointing in use.

Keep it as a pistol, and get a HW30s.

I have one I got secondhand. I don't know if it was short from the factory or shortened at a later date, but it fits me like a glove! It came with the front sight extension, but I have a little WTC on it.
Coupled with a guide mod the gun is virtually recoiless and was great fun (and effective) on the bell target at the boinger bash.
