    Gerstenberger & Eberwein, EM-GE Model LP3a .177 air pistol

    Hello,

    I have an old Gerstenberger & Eberwein, EM-GE Model LP3a .177 air pistol in good condition and I would like to locate some information on this air pistol such as;

    What type of seal material is used for this pistol?
    Are parts still available, if so, does anyone know who to contact?
    Is there a link with information such as the original hand book and/or servicing info ie; recommended lubrication etc?

    Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

    These pistols are not very popular but do have a limited following of collectors. From memory I think they are constructed from a combination of materials, steel compression tube and zinc alloy (zamak) grip frame. The pistol seal could be leather or polyurethane, and I have found red rubber grease to work well on both as a lubricant, also for the spring as it stays put. If you need a piston seal I can probably make you one from polyurethane if you live in Christchurch Dorset.

    Many thanks for your comments and information. I must confess that I don't find this old piston annoying, just a bit of a challenge...I would love to be in Christchurch, Dorset to pick up a new seal at the minute away from our winter here in Christchurch, New Zealand.
