Been having some good fun in the back yard but quite aware of the noise hence the thoughts of a pfft!

Yep, someone at the shop said you could do with a good de-twanging, David!

If you decide on a de-twang at some point, they're dead easy to work on and I know you'd be well capable of doing the fettle.

If you're not doing so already, a nice quiet backstop / pellet trap works wonders.....Argos catalogue, concrete / slab enclosure filled with sand, a large cardboard box stuffed tightly with old clothes / rubber mulch will all be good.

Yeah, the weather forecast on TV said "ferocious thunder-storms" it looked mainly to be on the South coast though so Tinners and Moley are . It will be a challenge getting a pellet in a snail before the lightening gets it. Batten down the hatches lads.

Imagine the awesome footage though, Pauly....mega slow-mo camera and pellet smashing into old Snaily just as it's illuminated by the bolt of lightning!

Maybe catch some of the slimy buggers first and put them on a steel tin lid to guarantee the fatal, electrifying attraction!

As long as their gnashers aren't too ferocious.
