Only just managed to get on after a long day at Numpty Bike Towers, driving home, walking my lovely diggly dog, feeding said perfect partner and then clearing some pots and washing others that them 'orribble spoilt brats decided to leave.

The Mrs, to be fair, has been working away like a Trojan, cleaning the house etc whilst the various idle Primadonnas perfect the art of relaxing.

I hate kids!

Never ending eh Tone, my two boys were the same (they're in their late 30's now) but at least only two of them, I sometimes wondered how they had the energy to lift their feet when they walked. Mind you, their Mum did too much for them to be honest.

Popped round to see mum and dad. He said he wanted me to have a quick look at his HW95, as he thought the sights were out.

"No time like the present," I thought. Indeed, at ten yards it was shooting two inches to the left and an inch high. I asked him if he had been playing twiddles with the turrets, but he said he hadn't. Anyway, four or five minutes' worth of twiddling and shooting bang on again. And five shots down a lovely little tight hole (ooo-er!), maybe 6.5-7mm diameter edge to edge.

Nothing wrong with this gun. It's one I bought him for his birthday in 1999 when I convinced him that it'd be better for him than his shotgun. Muzzle break model in .22. This thing is lovely and sweet. Never stripped. The only thing I've ever done to it for him was to adjust the trigger and apply the odd little drop of oil to the safety catch. No twang whatsoever. Hopefully he'll try and use it a little more for back garden practising now.

And it certainly makes up for those horrible drought periods when I sometimes don't get a chance in for two or three weeks.
