There will be PCPs there (I will have mine unless I have sold it) but there is no "group" recharging facilities. If you bring your adapter you are welcome to a few fills from my bottle if you don't have your own.

Thanks for your kind offer Pete,
We don't have our own bottle because we only shoot at the club and have access to their bottles.
    The carvery sounds very tempting.
    Regards,
    Gary.

    Frankie Update

Hi folks. Thank you for your continuing kind messages and support.

Again, rather than replying individually to each message, I thought it better to post here.

The last two days haven't been so good.

On Tuesday afternoon she seemed to be sliding downhill, which we put down to exhaustion and not getting any proper rest with the nurses doing obs through Monday night and having to move her regularly as the epidural was making her legs go numb. Earlier in the day her Oncology consultant had been in and informed us that one of the earlier blood test results for cancer markers had come back. One high and one normal. And she was being quite guarded, not her usual super-positive self.

However, yesterday, her registrar came in. When quizzed, she told us that those two markers were from the tests done last week and thst the high marker simply confirmed that it was definitely the ovary, as per various scans, which is why we got the phone call on the way home on Friday to get the tumour removed on Monday. So, that made us feel a whole lot better. We're still waiting on further blood test results and results from studying the tumour. Some further news tomorrow, some after the weekend.

Fingers crossed, if these all go our way and nothing has spread etc., it might just entail some chemo to fully zap it and make sure.

They removed the epidural yesterday and she was in loads more pain. They reduced the IV fluids and increased the IV morphine. The only thing with this is thst she gradually went further down hill by early evening. Then she was sick numerous times. We kept telling the nurses, but they all seemed very laid back about it all and not that bothered. Since the op she's been on a surgical, as opposed to Oncology ward. We asked whether it might be the morphine not agreeing with her and also explained that she had not wanted to drink or eat anything yesterday. By about 9.30 last night we were getting more pee'd off with their attitude. I rang Oncology and explained our concerns. Within minutes the Nurse in Charge appeared, with a much more urgent demeanor. Plus an anaesthetist, who said we could switch from the morphine to a similar drug which may suit better. Fluids turned up, too. And Mrs Arsey Pants Nursey also suddenly seemed more efficient in her duties and attitude. When I left at about 11.00 last night, she was asleep and looking more comfortable.

Hopefully when I arrive today my little warrior will have improved again.

Losing track of time here a little. Is it 16 sleeps to go?

Bless her Tone, Frankie has been been through a lot in a very short time so I guess she is bound to be 'up and down' to say the least. Hopefully she is now over the worst and at the beginning of the road to recovery. Positive vibes continuing mate and make sure you look after your own well-being too during this time.

And yep - it's 16 sleeps to go.

Well, what a numpty I am to say the least and nope, it's not a wind up. I can't make the Bash.

I will be Ireland for my nieces wedding between 30 Aug and 5 Sept, I booked it a few months ago and never realised it clashed, I've even spoken to some of the lads here about me going to Ireland at the beginning of September and it still didn't dawn upon me until I looked in my calender half an hour ago!!! I can't believe it, I haven't missed one yet since my first one.

Mick - any chance of moving the venue to Newbridge, Co Kildare?

Thank you for the update, Tone.

It must be so difficult for you all right now, but if there's anything we can do - please say.

Continued best wishes Tone, from our family to yours.
