Good morning to all you fine fellows, and bank holiday best wishes!

May all your troubles be small ones, and may your donkeys always be in foal.

The above ought to do the trick re the wedding, Pauly.

Frankie's doing great, thank you, Pauly. Eating, perky, walking around a little. And she's put a massive 1kg on! She's been really calm and positive about it all (apart from the needles). Just hoping we get that good news confirmation a week on Wednesday from this week's blood that the cancer markers have come down.

    Nice one, Steve.

Be great to see you and all the other fine Boingeristi again.

Just a shame that some of our beloved brothers can't make it this time, but I suppose we'll never get the full compliment at one event due to people's work and family commitments etc.

Had a nice hour or so in the back garden earlier......We're going to be using my 2240 Ratty for the pistol part of the three gun challenge. What? Not a Boinger? I know, but I thought it'd be nice and easy to use, especially for any peeps that have little or no Pistolero experience. Now, I'm not sure what size targets we'll be using for the pistol and what range, but at six yards down the garden it's keeping many of the shots in the black on a 10 metre rifle target, so I'm guessing it'll be near enough? Strays will have been down to me, I'm sure, especially once I got about 30 shots in and the foresight became really fuzzy, a combination of my dodgy eyes and shaded garden, methinks.

Then, just to round off I grabbed for the freebie Gamo Vipermax for a few minutes. And this little cheapy is really growing on me. Yep, it boings more than a boingery boingy thing, but once you get used to the trigger it's really accurate (down the garden, at least) and it doesn't dance about all over the place. It's really smoothing itself out now, too. I reckon it had had hardly any use by its two previous owners. Once de-Boinged and the trigger fettled a little, this plastic fantastic will be even better!

I'll be mowing the campsite and range again this afternoon.

And tomorrow I'll be digging a few more pegs out round the carp pond.

    All the best Mick
