    Hawke 8-32x56 comparision

Im thinking of trying ft shooting and wanted to know what sort of scope to use...

I use a hawke digi niteeye 6-24x50 at the moment for my hunting and try to use it as you would for ft and it does range find quite well.

Ill probably have a budget of around £400.

Was wondering what is the difference between the hawke sindwinder 8-32 and the hawke airmax 8-32?

Is there other scopes im missing at that budget that are ok for ft and hunting if ft doesnt work out for me?

    Cheers

If what you've got ranges well, then stick with it, might need a 100mm side wheel if it hasn't got one - at least until you know that you'll keep up with the FT (youngest son was doing reasonably well with a 6-24x50 Zos)
Just noticed where you're from - take it that you're thinking of going to Iceni?

The Hawkes are great scopes, but not the best option for you in your price range - put an extra £20/40 to it and get a second hand Big Nikko Sterling Diamond, they are used by so many people it's almost embarrassing.

Yes, but there are a few 'duds' out there, only way is to actually look through 'em & if buying by post, that can be a bit difficult

Edit Best way is to get to a club, as often members are upgrading kit & will sell slightly cheaper to fellow club members, plus, of course, with the added 'bonus' of you knowing where the kit comes from
