    SPRINGFIELD ESSEX OPEN 30th JULY

    SPRINGFIELD ESSEX OPEN 30th JULY2017


    Springfield Air Rifle Club (CM4 0JX) will once again host the Essex Open on Sunday 30th July 2017. Open to All target shooters.
    40 target course. 10 yards to 55 yards sponsored by The Air Gun Centre.
    White targets with Black kill zones up to 45 yards, Yellow targets with Black kill from 46 to 55 yards. (To assist range finding for all)
    Trophies for 1st to 3rd in AA, A,B,C, HFT and 1st in Springer.
    Medals for best overall Lady and Junior.
    Two targets from each lane with pegs provided for our HFT friends.

    Free Prize Draw with prizes from our Sponsor, The Air Gun Centre.
    1st prize. £300 voucher
    2nd prize £200 voucher
    3rd prize £100 voucher

    Plinking /Zero range open from 08.30am
    Hot and Cold drinks available as usual.
    Briefing at 10.50am for 11.00am start.

    that's great news, I shall be there Kilty. Always a great day out and sometimes the weather is not to bad either. Its an excellent chance to show the circus wheel fiddlers how to shoot

    will you be repreasing the milk carton trick for those circus wheel fiddlers thst missed it the other week?

    no milk carton needed this time mate as I will be able to lay down and no squash my hernia like I was at the championships without the milk carton.

    Chilli, the main thing is that it complies to the UK rules for best part and all kill zones over 40 yards will be at least 35mm and anything over 45 will be clearly indicated as a different colour I think it was meant to say they will be yellow up to 45 and white over that.

    I cant remember if all positionals are unsupported though.

    Broadly speaking:

    We will be using 15mm, 25mm and 40mm kills.
    15mm can be between 10 and 25 yards, maximum of 2 on the course.
    25mm can be between 10 and 35 yards
    Maximum distance 55 yards 40mm
    White face 10 to 45 yards. Black KZ
    Yellow face passed 45 yards. Black KZ
    4 Standing and 4 Kneeling shots All unsupported. All positionals use 40mm kill. Can be between 10 and 45 yards
    Pegs are supplied

    SARC is closed to all shooting from Wednesday 26th to Friday 28th.
    Limited shooting in the plinking shed on Saturday 29th
