steyr conversion

hi now we have the great news about the steyr debacle i was wondering if all those with a standard version of the H5 is it possible to have them converted to the now legal H5 SA version and if so who sells the parts ??

Have you got a parts diagram? The booklet that comes with the H5 usually has two exploded view diagrams, one manual, one semi. There are some new parts and IIRC some to be replaced.

Now that he has the green light I guess there's no reason why HP should not be involved; he might want to do the work rather than supply the parts and that's maybe not a bad idea, the semi version does need some setting up. The clearance between the front face of the magazine and the back face of the breech is crucial to get right. Steyr have a video on the home site showing how to do it.

Just to add to the above, if you have multiple mags theywill not all be the exact same size so you need to set it to the largest one oryou will find some do not index correctly.

I've had mine a couple of years now. I bought the UK spec on purpose. If my semi auto shotguns taught me anything, it was that I would always "double-tap" EVERYTHING!! I went over to a pump action on those before it bankrupted me. I know pellets are far cheaper, but why fire one shot when you can send all four of his buddies straight down after him?

Having said that, if the parts are available I'll buy a set for fun use at Quigley Hollow.

I don't think these guns are illegal, they are self indexing nothing else. The pistols are legal and have just been stated as such.
