cold blue or chemical ?
I was lucky enough to obtain this rifle from a really top Gentleman recently and give it a little make over. Once again I am using Danny's website for reference, scroll down for the 'before and after'. I know the purist may not like it, but it is a keeper

cold blue or chemical ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. But not lathes. I have too many lathes. Thanks, JB.
Masterful and no mention of a file!
A man can always use more alcohol, tobacco and firearms.
Not allowed sharp things J
No stripping or polishing brother, I have not got the 'working tools', most of the original blue is still there, I just coloured in where the rust spots were and then went over the lot. I know some would have left her as is, I just could not live with the spots![]()
3 in 1 ....... the Mark of a gentleman
I thought you were busy recently Pete?

Hello Pete,
It's amazing how the appearance of these things can be improved with minimal tools and a bit of elbow grease. I much prefer this look to a complete refinish which I think looks out of place. I saw a rack of completely refinished LJ / BSA air rifles at Kempton, and although that's how they would probably have looked when first leaving the factory, they just don't look right today.
A picture of my Junior with two of its bigger brothers. Don't know why, but I prefer the 'Straight Hand' stocks.
