    Taken from another thread...' Don't think you can compare a 80k with 99.'
    Having both of these, I would say the 99 is alike to a younger brother with big attitude.
    And it come's with a flake.

    Not had a hairy view since the 90,s more like a clear view these days. NICE

    I always thought that the 99 was always the cheaper of the bunch, the value range

    But, at 12fpe, a better shooter than most of its more expensive stablemates.

    Which is why it's the better rifle for a sub-12 ft/lb environment...

    Hmmmm, hairy views or not ()), although the HW99 is very good, when considering break-barrels straight from the box, imho, the HW95K is still King and always will be: long live the King.

    Having owned both rifles i can honestly say the hw99 is my preference over the two, the only reason i would get a hw95/80 would be for the option of .20 calibre, other than that i couldnt justify the extra cost for the bigger brothers to the 99
