The spring pixies must've shrunk it overnight!
The new hammer spring has arrived, much longer and thicker wire. I fitted it and: Boom! 11.5ft/lb!!
I'm gonna leave it for a while to check it's not leaking, then do a shot string, then get shot!

BSA Super10 addict, other BSA's inc GoldstarSE, Original (Diana) Mod75's, Diana Mod5, HW80's, SAM 11K... All sorted!
Keep it, its the most love hate gun on the planet!
I like short guns and I like .22. This is the full length .177!
I had the carbine in .22 and foolishly sold it, if someone has a stubby .22 to swap I'd be interested. I will be keeping this for a week or so anyway as I need to strip it again and photograph it all, then I'm gonna bugger around with the valve and hammer to make it as good as it can be.

Fair play, i dont lug the full size round much these days and am still waiting for a buggered carbine to come up cheap one day!
The gun was giving a steadily increasing shot string from 6ft/lb up toward the naughty zone.
The hammer has an adjustable nose, so I wound it in by around 7mm to give it more stroke, and therefore inertia. Power is now steady at just over 11.
Working on this gun is a bit like childbirth, I know it was painful, but the guns kinda growing on me now.
Tomorrow it will be tested on paper.
