Scope for PH Dragon Sporter

I have a Dragon on its way to me and I'm starting to think about what scope to put on it?

I have a gloss Nikko Sterling Mountmaster 4x40 which according to my 1993 AGW is period for the rifle, but I can't help thinking it needs something a little better.

Nothing to large, or too expensive, but if anyone has some ideas, or a suitable scope, I'm all ears.

Gloss black Bentley 3-9 x 40. These were made by Nikko back in the day. Near mint. £38 if any good to you? Mach 1.5

Thanks, but I'm after something "aspirational" from the era, and I've not heard of Bentley.

I remember looking at the tasco range in Chris Potters which were well out of my price range, plus the Optima and early Simmons scopes. That's the kind of thing I'm thinking.
