    Rejuvenating an original Webley Typhoon

I've just acquired a 1978 example of this mid-range pistol from Webley.

Having fired it, it seems low on power (its a .22).

I'd like to replace the spring and other consumables to refresh its performance.

Are the servicing procedures exactly as per the Tempest and Hurricane?

Is there a video or written service instruction that you can point me to?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Here are scans of the original instructions and parts list: http://mynetimages.com/album/Trouble...ebley_Typhoon/
As far as I can remember there should be no differences in strip down procedures.

I think that the Typhoon mainspring was supposed to be 20% weaker than the Hurricane. If the mainspring has ever been replaced then the chances are it will have a Hurricane one in it. I quite like using old Hurricane/Tempest springs with 3 coils cut off. You dont seem to lose a lot in power and the guns are easier to cock. I cannot really see the piston washer on these guns wearing, so unless you are keen to do a full strip, I'd just try a new breech seal first.
