    Exclamation Bicester Target shop

Only 14 miles from me, and I had no idea they were there.

Have any of you used them before?

No, I just found their website this evening.
I usually go to D&B Guns in Thame; they're closer and cater for the powder-burners.

i would take a trip out and see Bicester Targets, though.

    Yeh DB are OK.
I rate Otmoors in Deddington for sound service and advice - you can be sure of getting the truth, albeit sometimes inconvenient truth. Small shop, not overstocked but flippin good service. (air rifles only - no shotties or powder stuff)

If you do go to the bicester place id be interested what you make of it. I have heard they're run on a bit of a shoe string...

Yes, I might pop over there and have a look.

I went to the Oxford Gun Company a few years ago, when I first got my .223 Remington, and I needed mounts for the scope.
The scope is a 25mm tube and OGC only had 30mm mounts to fit.

They told me that I could pack the mounts out with leather to take up the gaps. They even told me that that's what a lot of blokes are doing.

    Avoid them like the plague.

Yeh i have had 'dealings' with OGC before and am of the same opinion as you. They only understand shotties and are a bit "i saw you coming" when it comes to trying to sell stuff.
