Resealing a PCP - to lube or not to lube the o-rings?

    Hello knowledgeable gang,
I will reseal my FN19 soon. Do I need to put a very small amount of silicone grease/oil on the new O-rings or do I leave them dry?
    Cheers

I always use the lightest smear of vacuum grease that I can, that is rub a small amount between your fingers and then over the o-ring.

Definately lube them using a very small amount of silicone grease. If you don't, you risk cutting them during installation and also not seating correctly.

    ^^ this^^

If dry there is a small risk that they could snag/grip & tear, but you only need enough lube (molykote 111 or similar) to just put a shine on the surface.

Lube otherwise they can roll and twist when you slide the front and rear blocks into position.
