The air tube is marked with the maximum safe working pressure SWP200Bar for all the genuine Air Arms TDR tubes I know, do not exceed it. If you do you may blow out the seals at the ends turning your air tube into a trumpet. The regulator should allow the gun to work with no power curve from this maximum safe working pressure down to the pressure the regulator is set at. Below this pressure the velocity of shots will fall.

At what psi are regs usually set at?

Depends on calibre, barrel length and who set the gun (or reg) up.

If it has been regulated then there is no sweet spot so you can fill the cylinder to max SWP which in the case of the AA TDR cylinder is about 190 bar.
