Oiled finish, stipple area will just be the same as I'm not keen on that 'dark/black' stained stipple effect....grain is very nice on this stock and I didn't get conned into paying more for it

Perhaps controversially I prefer the fisthole stock. Not prettier than the sported I originally had but suits/fits me better. Mine now has a Bisley adjustable butt pad and the cheek piece is also adjustable. It deserves a strip and reoil.
Keep up the good work on yours.

Mine had the sporting stock originally but I found the pistol grip area too fat and square, so having had a cs800 stock before (aa410) I thought I'd try a cs500 but again I find the grip to fat albeit somewhat less square....then this stock came up on here t'other week so thought I'd give the old fisthole a try.....alas the grip was the same as the sporter stock.
Anyway a quick fettle with wood files etc and the grip is now slimmer and not square, obviously taking out the wood took out the stipple hence the dremmel which I got kind of carried away with!,....to the point that I asked the wife if she wanted one of them african type 'scar' tattoos but she declined.
