I bought a weihrauch mod 2nd hand from here (I think). The holes in the washers are 5.5mm. It is very good on my .177, better than my other Weihrauch mod. Luckily I didn't shove it on a .22!

I'm pretty sure the previous owner had put calibre specific washers in. Good for him. Though he could have told me!

I couldn't believe how quiet the hair curler version is especially in ·22.

The other day I was re-setting a 'scope on a friends HW100 and was really surprised at how effectively the HW silencer worked. It was at least twice as efficient as the BSA VC's on my rifles. Slimmer design as well. Seriously considering buying one for my Scorpion RS now.

You are very lucky not to get clipping with such a small clearance!

I used a standard .177/.22 Weihrauch mod on my .25 Rapid FAC for several years without clipping.

Both the hw mods I have are fitted with 'Hilda Ogden' internals.

Thanks Graham for the mention.... From an independent test in .177 modified baffles give a 6db reduction... I haven't gotten round to testing the .22. But when I get my arse in gear I have a new baffle design I'm going to test and hopefully will be even better.

"Gotten" is normal english, especially in the SW of the country (eg Wiltshire). A little archaic, it was used frequently by Shakespeare and is retained more by our US cousins, but nevertheless, it's cool.

I built a carbon fibre silencer for my Rapid earlier this year with 4 delrin baffles giving a 5 chamber design. The bore in the baffles is 6.2 mm and the calibre of the rifle is .20.
As long as your barrel is cut straight and the adaptor is square you shouldn't get any clipping.
