Who said a picture is worth a thousand words?!
I know at least one of mine has the hair curlers.
Not sure about the other one.
Might check out of curiosity now.
I have been told by Hull Cartridge that the silencer is the same for both .177 and .22; only the .25 is different.
This is what is inside mine;
Tube is 22mm bore, 180 mm long overall
Starting from the threaded end, half inch UNF
metal tube 61.5mm long, 15mm bore with 8 slots 7mm wide, 26mm long, in pairs at 90 degrees
plain metal washer 22mm diameter 10mm bore
metal tube 33mm long, 15mm bore with 4 slots as above
plain metal washer as before
metal tube 61.5mm long as before
end cap with 10mm hole
Each tube is wrapped with black felt, no sign of the famous hair curlers!!!!
I examined a Weihrauch silencer of a fellow club member; I was unable to dismantle it but the holes seemed much smaller.
What is inside yours?

10 mm bore must be for a .25 rifle. The weirach silencer I have is 7mm bore as is the Logan QGS. I've had to bore out the the baffles on the Logan to 8mm in order for my asxor not to clip it.
I believe the original AA silencers were drilled out to 8mm, even that did not stop my S410 from clipping. New gun sent back to AA who had to change the barrel.
I had a new .25 HW80 to fit the reduced cylinder capacity tuning kit and it had printed on the side of the silencer .25

.177 Logan Solo 4-16x50.

I did say in my email to HC that the hole size was 10mm.
However, I have found on the web another person who quotes 7mm. As I own a lathe, I have made a lot of different designs and found that clipping often occurs at 7mm or less!
I have now made some 8mm plastic washers for the Weihrauch which I will try at the range tomorrow; thanks for the reply.
i have the hair curler spec hw mod and it has 7mm steel washers .ive never had a problem with clipping though only used on a 177
That is not a a Weihrauch mod
the tube should be 28mm bore, tube itself is 172mm long the silencer overall is 192mm
the end cap is removed with an 7mm hex key,
inside 63mm plastic "hair curler" covered with white "felt", 7mm bore washer, 31mm curler/felt, 2nd washer, 3rd curler/felt again 63mm
Mine also has German writing on the side, Nur fur * - Luftgewehre. with a hexagon symbol where I put *.

I bought a weihrauch mod 2nd hand from here (I think). The holes in the washers are 5.5mm. It is very good on my .177, better than my other Weihrauch mod. Luckily I didn't shove it on a .22!
I'm pretty sure the previous owner had put calibre specific washers in. Good for him. Though he could have told me!
member `zeropoint` makes calibre specific washer sets, spot on too

I couldn't believe how quiet the hair curler version is especially in ·22.
