From the last Holt's sealed bid auction?

Drapers of Nottingham advertise 300R mags on their website.

Yes. I bought it unseen and was expecting it to be a bit rough. I was going to use it to replace my BSA Goldstar 0.22.
I was a bit shocked to find it was in incredibly good condition. I can be a bit clumsy so I can't bring myself to take it out in the field.

So the Goldstar will stay for now.
Drapers also want £7 delivery for it! Its only an hour away from me so I'm going to drive over there next weekend to pick one up.

I checked it out and it looked really nice. I didn't bid, partly because of the missing mag, but more because I decided to take a therapeutic pause from buying things in the "nice to have" rather than "must have" category. I do want a 300R, but in .22". I'm weird like that.

    Good luck with the swap.

I thought I needed it at the time. I never realised how delicate the pellet probe was until i picked it up. Now I think the goldstar has a better magazine and loading system, even if the rest of the gun is less refined.

Who needs an excuse to visit a gun shop?

In case you haven't seen it, here's a good review on the 300R. Basically, it's great as long as you follow the correct "manual of arms". If you don't, you'll break it.
