What spring for a Mk 1 HW 85

    Evening all,
Today I had the trigger unit out of my recently purchased HW85 to degunk and oil it and the safety (which was a little sticky). Whilst doing this I inspected the spring through the cocking slot and could see the coils were uneven so it is time for a rebuild.
Is the spring spec the same as it's successor the HW95 or do I need a different spec?
    Cheers
    Rich

PS I am not looking to short stroke it.

Yep, the HW95 spring is the one you want.

The early 95 would be ok, it was the same IIRC the later 95 spring is shorter & stiffer. If you can't find one long enough a 97 will fit & may need some coils cutting depending on the guide & top hat used.

And of course thanks to landymick whose reply I had not seen when thanking tinners

I did wonder if a current spring might be shorter as I had read the HW95 had a shorter stroke.
