    .177 or .22 which is best?

    Sorry, I am bored.

    Lovely, there hasn't been a calibre thread in at least a couple of hours...

    They all work, they're all fun to shoot - for me though, .177, .20, .25 and .22 (in that order)....

    We haven't had a 177 v 22 for ages, but as it's of course 177 no need to debate, unless you have eyesight like Mr Magoo or fingers like a packet of Walls sausages then .22 pellets make life easier.

    I've got a ttf double theraband gold flat band slingshot using 12mm lead balls for that - equates to about 20ftlb!!

    I use 12mm steel ball bearings in a catty, I've never chrono'd it but it certainly whacks squizzers good! As you say just about anywhere head or body is a kill, obviously not the tail but it certainly knocks them out of the branches. I must set the old F1 Chrony up and see what I'm getting out of it, it's definitely over 12 I'm sure.
