I was remembering the old push in Gat type pistols and how as a kid I could hardly hit any target, I seem to remember push in rifles or was I dreaming
Anyway surely there can't be any airgun less accurate, or is there

I remember seeing a push in rifle but the Gat must be the King of Inaccuracy.

My .177 Acvoke pistol !
Stunning little gun but couldn't hit a cows @rse in a milking shed !
“An airgun or two”………
Anything shooting Prometheus plastic bodied pellets
My uncle once bought a .177 BSA lightning XL tactical, brand new from a shop. Lovely looking gun but would be more effective with a bayonet fitted .
Went back to BSA for a new barrel. Came back, still dog turd accuracy.
Lives in his cupboard now. Never sees the light of day
A .177 SMK B2 bought used for £10.
Shot gun like groups at ten yards,I rodded a few pellets down the bore to discover the cause.
A multi calibre barrel .
Literally the only target I could hit with my Gat was cows.
And it didn't bother them in the slightest.

Nope: pretty certain you are not dreaming about push in barrel rifles ... or am I thinking about a Gat with a shoulder stock? I saw some Gat 'rifles' at a recent military fair. The chap on the stall was commenting that spares were now impossible to get so once those 'rifles' were broken, that was it.

You're all being very cheapo'ophobic about Gats (the proper TJ Harrington versions).
I was utterly awesome with mine, and I'm pretty sure if I'd also had a Gat rifle as a kid, I'd have been equally great with it.
So there.
For me it has to be the Gat - I managed to shoot myself in the eye with it when I was 14 and spent Easter week in the local eye ward with a group of blind dinosaurs!
However, ...... if you want the lowdown on a recent (expensive) purchase - the FX Impact in .177 knocks the poor old Gat off it's pedestal. I mean 50p size groups at 30 yards!!
Yes it was an early import but it really was utter rubbish - I will never buy another FX as long as I live.
