He meant the dealer of the shop had died. Not the maker of the pellets .

I mailed the NSRA shop at Bisley and they have these in stock. £13.50 a box (450 pellets in a box - odd number). Pricey - but possibly worth it for the innovative box with three compartments and special foam.

According to a member on here eley said it was not making money so they stopped them. http://www.airgunbbs.com/showthread....he-story/page2

On another forum some one said the original moulds were destroyed. So the newer WASP ones are new moulds made to look like eley made ones.

They both shuffled off the perch then? Luke Camilleri certainly did and his company made the later not very accurate Wasp pellets. The last time I bought some Eley .22 rimmie ammo it was made in the Phillipines

If Camilleri is making them there is a good chance they will be rubbish.

Especially if he is dead as one member has posted already . If not he is 83 years old

He resigned last year . http://www.bizdb.co.uk/company/lj-ca...ited-01305384/
Luke had been in the pellet manufacturing business since 1960 but at the age of 72 he decided to retire and his manufacturing unit was acquired by a US concern.

That is pricey; a box of each of the three sizes will be £40.50, hence my suggestion of a pack of each size,
I will be sticking with RWS R10's I reckon!

The "Proton-X" air cylinder replacements for CO2 were still advertised in the latest AGW.

Brocock tried something similar about 15-20 years ago.

IMHO a flawed concept, however executed.

Indeed - this is what our club sells for considerably less money. The eley pellets come in a funky box which looks just like their rimfire ammo ones but has three compartments - presumably each with 150 pellets. Find three like minded people, each buy a box of each size each, and do a swap of a compartment each.

I had one of the early ones they said in the magazine that so say tested it more power more shoots than c/o2 more consistent . I done a test and found you might have had more power the first 2 shoots the rest was lower you could not get any were near the same amount of shoot from it And when you look at size of it there is no way you can get that volume of air in it , and even till today i have never tested any thing so inconsistent. I did take it to trading standard but i seen only a year or so ago that the so say the improved one out for sale. I know that Nigle Allen refused to test it in Airgun Shooter magazine on the grounds that you would be fitting a cylinder with very high pressure into a gun made to work on 750-800 psi.

    Eley Ventus

    As the OP, allow me to sum up;
These pellets are £13.50 for 450, that is 3 pence a pellet!
They are hard to find as at the moment nobody seems to be advertising them.
Eley want people to visit their test range in Birmingham, quite a trip for many of us.
They are not available in sample packs to cover the 3 sizes on offer.

£15.99 according to their website http://www.eley.co.uk/eley-ventus-4-49

So 3.5p per pellet price is if you buy from Eley .

Sellers will sell for less or more I guess.

I stand corrected, Sir. Thanks, I will be sticking with my RWS R10's for sure.

    Cheers, Noz.

One of my club members has just spent a day at Eley batch testing,he has brought some.
He thinks that Eley are going to be more interested in the European market than here,it is a much larger 10mtr market of course.
He didn't think they will be on every dealers shelf, but then neither are my favourite Falcons!
He was quite impressed with the batch testing procedure however.
We shall have to see how he goes on with these new pellets, his normal 10mtr av. is around the 192 ex 200,so only he will know.
    Don.
