What is it and what is it for?

In the past I have enjoyed other members posts teasing us with identification tasks, so here is my own attempt. I don't expect it will take you long to work out what it is, but can you work out what it is for?

    Cheers Rich.

    It's a G clamp and springy thing organiser !
    Do I win a prize ?

I'm tempted to say a thumbhole stock for an old underlever beeza or similar, but don't know whether I should . Not sure where the stock bolt would go so will probably not say anything

It is the makings of a stock, but what is it for?

A few clues perhaps.........it is being made for my young boys so may not necessarily be for a rifle! I was born in the 70s as was the intended recipient of this stock! Finally it is embarrassed by it's home country's current leader!

Now I see it. being upside-down through me off a bit ;-)

I too believe that it is near impossible to have too many clamps. :-)

When it's finished I will put up some pics. Hand filing yesterday was slow going, time for some power tools!
