    Buying the quality, genuine article works for me.
    Buy used if you can't afford or don't want to pay new prices.
    Long after the pain of paying for it has passed, you will still be enjoying using the good kit, rather than wishing that you had spent that little extra and bought what you really wanted!

    Harris had it for years and not a problem with it 6x9 swivel not fixed well worth the wee bit extra.

    Well I must confess my chinese knock offs are excellent, Both Rockmounts and the Deben are regularly used and are on my .223, .22lr and .17hmr All are over 10 years old and counting Rockmounts were bought new from the Bay and Deben was second hand The only signs of some wear is in spring eyes which is fair enough and not major!!!!!
    Most things are made in China nowadays and can be a good buy.
