    HW77 Tyrolean

New project. Just acquired (slightly by accident)
Overseas at present so haven't seen it.

What is it? Standard factory + add ons or something more? Thoughts?
    History? I reckon 1986-87

Factory stock? Looks like it but it seems to have some hint of tiger stripe.
    Moderator?
    Trigger?
    Gold inlay?

Hopefully this system for images will work.
    Thanks all.

    Nice find,

First thoughts its a factory stock from around 1986,probably MK11 action though could be MK1 with the shallow cut out.The stock has been refinished with a couple of add ons .Not sure the make of mod but I have one on a Zephyr that looks similar.

yep was thinking the same about the mod, i have a zephyr with the same, although i can see a couple of protrusions on the top (I Think) at high mag. very difficult on the photos only.

What do you think Beech or Walnut?

Don't know Blackrider. Trying to compile as much info as I can. Perhaps someone will let us know how many were produced etc.

Yes they were special order in left hand I believe, made from French Walnut so the sales pitch went.

Looks factory, but I think the grip cap and spacer is not standard.

    Gosh, that does look nice.

As above, Geoff - factory tyrolean with grip cap added.
Moderator and trigger are AirMasters (their moderators were slightly different, dare I say, better looking) than the Venom and Theoben/Zephyr models).
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

    77.

Stock is a reworked weihrauch tryolean stock. They did them for 77, 80 and 85 and they are lovely, even better than a venom version. Trigger blade that looks venom! but could be airmasters as the mod is an airmasters one, the gold inlay on the writing is done just with gold paint and then just rub off!!.. still a nice find and getting rare to locate the factory T stocks.

No, thank you for providing us with such wonderful, almost elicit, air gun porn: your gun is gorgeous.

So the golden question is what should I do with it regards refurb? Paul (mach1) I had found an old post of yours regarding only Walnut made stocks vs beech. And now that's been confirmed the walnut could be enhanced significantly imo. Cant wait to see what's inside and how it shoots.

    Hw77

If last owner/s have gone to the trouble to fit the other mods then fingers crossed the inside has been worked on. Best wishes. Mach 1.5
