    Question on the Airsporter/Club Models

    Can you help?

If you have a GA or EB prefixed rifle, can you check the following for me?

Is the patent number stamped by the serial number?

Does the ramped foresight have a dovetailed foresight blade or a longitudinal element, which can be replaced with one of a different height?

Is the stock stamped with the 'flying BSA' logo?

Is the cocking lever release catch 'shell shaped' or parallel sided as with later Airsporters?

Remember these questions are just for GA and EB prefixed rifles.

    Many thanks,

    John

    Airsporter query

Hi John, my 0.22 Airsporter AG 2208 has the following features:

No patent number next to Serial Number.

    Dovetailed front sight blade.

    No logo on stock.

    Release catch is parallel sided.
Life is to be enjoyed, not endured.

Looks like the the early serial number GA Airsporters were using up left over G prefix Airsporter parts.
