Well, the BASC succeeded where I failed!

Today I was forwarded an apology letter with a promise that the Post Office would distribute the correct information to all branches. In the meantime here is the letter in case you need it:

Not my personal details; it is addressed to BASC head office. I have a copy with my name and address on too. The BASC gave me permission to put the letter on forums.

Had problems trying to post an air pistol to Negotiator, would not take it special delivery even though they could. Made me send it Parcelforce, but said it could go Parcelforce 24 instead of 48 (which is the only Parcelforce service that will take guns allegedly).

Even when given the guidelines the stupid barstools will not check it!

Sorry, I only just saw this.

Basically the entire RM rules, as they stand now, were changed ages ago. I sold my mates guns about a year and a half ago and they were advising minimum First Class back then on the website. Where the conflict came in was that the advice leaflet and T&C's both stated that PF was the only option HOWEVER the T&C's also stated that whatever is published on the website is the DEFINITIVE set of rules and supersedes all others including the T&C's.

I have published the rules here before in a previous thread but since they have been sorted out on the RM side they are a lot easier to work with (till the next sneaky edit).

If one is unsatisfactory, another will probably do the job without hassle.

My local one is crap, but one down the road is no problem at all.

Yeah they all went eventually, was sorry to see a couple go and even bought one back (still want the Falcon back as well though!).
