Simplest non invasive is to shim underneath. Cut a piece of suitable metal to size. If too thick hammer it out and re cut to size.
Alternatives i) tin the underside with solder or ii) dot punch the underside to make say domino five dimples
Finding that my rear sight on my BSA Standard moves a little too easily in its dovetail. Just needs a slight tightening. Not sure of the proper fix.

In British slang an anorak is a person who has a very strong interest in niche subjects.
Shim.
Failing that, nylon or brass-headed punch with a light hammer.
For me. The sight base may be frail but dot punch dimples to the dovetail base will do it and not be seen. Less risk of damage than closing the dovetail top.
My sight was not that loose, just drifted a little with quite a few shots. Given the age of the gun and my skills I just took the sight out degreased it and put some locktite on the base and dovetail edges, zeroed in and waited 24 hours. Seems to have done it, can't see there being a lot of force being exerted in a left or right direction? Not like a scope rail facing the other direction. Time will tell.
Superglue it ?
