    Guns you currently own.

We've had threads about best/worst guns we've had, which guns we regret letting go, which were absolute pants. So what about a thread about what we currently have and our brief opinions of them?

    1. Tinbums old tx200 .177. It just does the biz in every way. Easy to carry out maintenance/mods. Heavy to lug about.

2.Walther LGV comp ultra .177. Out of the box, nothing much to touch it. Doesn't need any modding. Easy to strip and maintain. Quiet enough to shoot without silencer. Again, heavy. Walnut stock option would have been nice.

3.Diana 46 stutzen .177. It's a looker that's for sure. Very accurate. Like the loading mech. Getting to unlatch the cocking lever a pain. Heavy. Loud. Again. would have been nicer with a walnut stock and adjustable cheek piece.

    4. Theoben evo .177. Nice balance. Trigger is a pain. Needs an eye keeping on power as ram may slowly leak. Easy enough to strip and maintain though. Shoots nicer at lower power levels. On the limit, it's snappy and harsh. Walnut stock is a bit plain.

    5. Mercury mk3 .22. Classic good looks. This one is very accurate and smooth to shoot (after a bit of tinkering). May not apply to all Mercs. Nice and light and easy to work on. A walnut stock off an S model would be nice on it.

    6. Airsporter mk6. Classic good looks, but proof that you can't polish a turd.

    7. S400F superlight .177. Yes it's light! Very light. Very accurate. Nice fit and nice to shoot. But it's common! Never going to stand out. Anti tamper is overkill making it silly hard to keep power at suitable levels should it need adjustment.

    8. Axsor 8 shot .22. Nice light gun. Very accurate. Easy to maintain and keep power where you want it. Trigger is ok but nothing special. Walnut stock is a bit bland.

    9. FN19 .20. I don't know why it's so accurate, but it is. Looks nice in the walnut thumbhole stock. Nice light colour. Gun itslef is light too. Not very quiet as it has an air stipper rather than a silencer. It looks silly long with a silencer. Easy to maintain and adjust power should it need it.

10.Hw 100. .177. It was a standard gun, but I bought a carbine thumbhole stock in rosewood for this and a carbine qf cylinder. Front barrel band completely removed to free float barrel. Much better for it but still heavy. Build quality very good and being an early one with no AT, east to keep power where you want it. Nice trigger and very accurate.

    11. Scorpion with a great many changes. Ultra barrel (.25). Bigger capacity cylinder and regged by XTX. Custom laminate thumbhole stock. Most accurate gun over the chrony of the lot of them. Quietest too with the QGS mkII silencer . Ultimate ratter and other small furry creatures.

    12. SM 100, upgraded to NJR spec. Jon Ostler reg fitted. Custom thumbhole stock currently undergoing a refinish. Very accurate gun and a classic. The best bit of the gun is the Olympic trigger. It's cock on! A joy to shoot.

    13. Original 45. Bit of a mess when I got it. Quite easy to strip and sort out. Still a brilliant springer which is better than a lot of todays offerings.

    14. Original mod 50. Hesitant at stripping due to the ball bearing trigger. Classic gun with classic looks.

    15. Tx 200 HC in custom stock. This gun's action has been polished and looks quite smart. All been tinbummerified and shoots nice.

    16. Ripley AR4. Just does the business. Great trigger, super accurate. Had a plain cs100 stock which has been changed for something a bit tastier visually.

    17. FWB 603 SSP. They don't come much better.

    18. 1907 Militia, rebadged by Lincoln Jeffries. In absolute stunning condition. All engraved by Mr Boxhall and reblued by Colin Malloy. Internals, from what I can see, look like new. In a handmade fitted case. More for looking at than for shooting.

It's difficult to pick a favourite because they all offer something different, but in the springers, it would be between the TX and the Walther. The precharged would be the SM100 and the Scorpion.

    You said guns not airguns

Walther Terrus - surprisingly smooth for a .177 and I love it. Very small physically, narrow and almost a junior rifle sizewise but lets me shoot better than i have done with any other .177 springer

BSA Ultra - Again .177. What can I say. Small, light, boringly accurate with JSB Exact. Currently my dedicated NV set up.

Gunmark Kestrel SbS 12g - Snotty old thing that works.

Franchi 612Vs - Well used but ultra reliable Semi Auto. Long and a tad heavy but it's good.

Mossberg .17hmr - Changed the nasty plastic thumbhome stock for a Boyds thunbhole laminate and now it looks the dogs danglies. Bushnell Trophy in top and cheap but accurate as .17hmrs always are.

Marlin Model 80 .22lr - Older than I am with a period Bushnell Scopechief Scope. Ragged hole at 50yrds with eley subs. Looks lovely too. The subject a thread I put on tonight. The whole kit, rifle and scope cost me £95!

Howa 1500 .243 - In Hogue stock and Leupold VX -4on top. Still trying to get the best reloading menu for it but good with factory RWS ammo. I want to reload to keep the costs down. Fluted barrel. Nice and solid. Good reputation.
    Daystate Air Ranger FAC - Kral Bullpup & NP03 - CZ 452 .22lr - Lithgow 17hmr - Remington 783 .223 - Franchi 612vs 12G - Renato Gamba 12G O/U - Hatsan Escort 12G
Nostalgia isn't what it used to be.....

TX200. 177. TBT Maxi kit. As accurate as I need it to be.
HW98. 177 TBT Maxi kit. Just so easy to cock thanks to the heavy barrel.
BSA Meteor Mk 1. 177 My 12th birthday present. Never to be sold
BSA Scorpion. 177. Single shot. Airmasters 88 reg. Probably going to sell this one to fund another springer. As accurate as anything but I don't love PCPs anymore

I nearly bought an absolute wreck of one the other day as the ultimate challenge, but the dealer wouldn't give me a price for it 'cos I was taking the piss out of it.

I thought it was illegal to buy Brocock TACs now. You can only have them if you already own them and have them on a special license....

I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you!!!

    Only joking, here goes:

Custom Benjamin P-rod .22 set up with AR buttstock and double airtube conversion-built this for my boy to get into shooting, likes H&N FFT
FAC FX cutlass .22 -nice light weight rifle
FAC Kalibrgun Cricket .22 -awesome rifle, unbelievably accurate
FAC FX Impact .25- taken a while to get it set up right but is proving to be very accurate
CZ Sillhouette .22lr sat in a Klinsky thumbhole stock- accurate like all CZ's are
Spikes Tactical ST22 custom- great bunny basher
HW66 .17HMR- very accurate with an amazing trigger
Winchester 1300 10 shot pump action- I'm not much of a shotgunner but its reliable and didn't cost much
One shot, one kill. Not luck, just skill.
