Unless some numpty has made some irreversible "improvements", adjustment will be easy. I can't remember now, as it's so long since I had one. Mine went in the mid-eighties. It was my go-to hunting rifle for quite some time, but didn't really get a look in once I got my first '80.

Maybe have a quick on-line search. Or, JB's the man on these, or our lovely Les. Either will be able to better advise.

1979/80, so maybe a Mark II?
Cheers tone. It has the plastic trigger.

Plastic trigger? If I remember correctly, that'll be a Mark 1 then, Jamie.

Mine was a Mark 2 with metal trigger and I think the stock also had a bit of a palm swell.

Mark 3s had a muzzle weight gizmo.

Maybe other differences, the more expert FWB peeps will know, but pretty sure yours'll be Mark 1.

One of today's several odd events saw me as the new owner of a stupidly cheap fwb127 I honestly thought I would turn up to find at best a bramble basher, at worst parts, but no she's a 1979/80 sweetie but!!! I've had set triggers on my steyr centre fires that a gnat fart could release, but this, well it's totally bonkers! I have no intention of messing with until looked into, is it straight forward adjustment?
Jamie, metal or plastic trigger? I heard of early complaints regarding the early plastic triggers (Maccari at ARH do replacement steel blades). Adjustment is through the one screw that runs through the trigger blade. Never a record, but perfectly predictable with adjustment.

Bloody cold plink this morning. I seem to have developed an annoying habit of breaking air rifles. A TX200 and a 98 needing attention. Still better than sitting around eating mince pies.
A pleasure to shoot with Ted (Roundshot) today, a reminder of warmer days

Top hat snapped in the TX200, ok no biggie, no idea with the 98. A piston seal maybe. Just lost all compression although it cocks normally.

Always great to slip an extra plink in with a Fellow of The Hollow, Pete.

You've "broken" TWO boingers? Very, very naughty boy....now go and stand in the corner!

Did you size the piston seal of the '98? If it was on the slack-ish side to start with, with it being so cold it may have shrunk even further, creating more clearance. Might be worth giving it a try indoors before stripping (unless you've ripped it apart already).

Top hat broken? One of Nick's? Was it really tight on the spring or something?

That's a bummer with the "wobblysport". I'm going to destroy some stuff with the '77 tomorrow if I get chance. I spent most of the day ripping floorboards up at home and running cables around for points in the dining room ready for when I plaster it at the end of next week. Weekends are a busmans holiday at the moment but nothing a good plink cant remedy

Much enjoyed mate, cheers. Like the club very much, and the canteen fry up, looking forward to next time. A nuisance the out of service rifles, soon to be rectified I'm sure, Pete. All the best.
