I've got a cheap and cheerful metal detector that my mum and dad bought me as a kid. Its not great but used to have fun down the beach with it in the summer. Never really found much though.

Magnet fishing is great fun (if you like finding rusty ferrous metal) but this one specializes in finding gold and silver and other non ferrous.
I absolutely love md,ing but don't give myself the time to go.
The last time I said to Mel, right I'm off to the beach to find a gold ring. Came home with a beautiful 22crt Victorian gold wedding band.
