Nothing to worry about; advisable to keep all bearing points, pins, rivets, bolts, cocking shoes, cocking levers, piston slots, etc. well greased or oiled as necessary to minimise wear, which may be a contributary factor, along with production tolerances, etc.

No need to worry at all, Pauly; it's completely normal and it isn't a case of shims omitted during original build.

As Ted says, keep everything lubed as it should be. If the rattle did become something that you simply couldn't put up with, it could be shimmed. At the same time, always a nice idea to fit one of those threaded cocking lever screws, making subsequent work even easier. Available from V-Mach and one or two other sources.

    What a beautiful day!

We're having new windows and a set of French doors fitted today.

    I think I'll go out.

I'm fine with it as it is Tone now that I know it's 'ok', it's just that none of my other HW's rattle and had to ask.

They finished about 1/2 an hour ago. Cracking job and they look fantastic! Littluns now got access to the garden in her wheelchair which is simply the best part of it and worth the money on its own.
