Good news Pete, following an adept diagnosis by Antonio (knows his Weihrauch's does our Tone); now only the TX to rectify. I guess you'll be leaving the 98 at home next time we shoot below zero centigrade!

Too right Ted, the sizing on that seal is obviously very fine. Be interesting to see what I have broken on the TX200 to snap a top hat. Can't blame the cold for it. It was a mild day

They are working on a huge fee, win or lose basis
Has dave sold the metal detector to Paul already????

Sorry for the no-show last night, peeps.

We had a visitor again. It was really late by the time he had left and it was time for the late Bremby walk and bed 'cos I was knackered.

Lots of fun on the thread again and glad to hear Chris and Jimbo are able to be sharing some quality time.

I had a sneaky afternoon off today a had a great plinking session for and hour with the new HW77 .22. Its the first time I've really got to try it properly and I have to say what an absolute fun gun it is. Pretty smooth considering it's straight out of the box. Tried a number of pellets and once again as with my other .22's the AA diablo field came up trumps. I had some old AA diablo hunters from years back (semi-pointed) and the accuracy of them was comical. I cant wait to try this one out at the bash in April.

Glad to see you're loving the '77, Mike. Lovely guns.

An all time classic. Pretty much bombproof yet with finesse and precision.

Funny you should mention those AA Hunter pellets. When I was given the Vipermax a few months ago, the chap gave me some of these (plus some of the proper, old Wasps). Those AA Hunters wouldn't ever have been my first choice, and I'd usually choose a lighter pellet, but down the garden at least, they provide single hole accuracy.

    Running costs of a elephant?

I'm watching Sherlock on Alibi, and in the last advert break I found out I can buy a diseased brown kid from Eddie Izzard for £3, a Syrian kid off the woman with the teeth in Broadchurch for £3, or a elephant from those WWF wrestling people for £3!!!! (I'm guessing they're selling off The Rock's private animal collection)

Now, I'm fine for brown kids (dirt in this case) and don't need a car wash, but the elephant intrigues me. Has anyone got one yet? What was the delivery like? What do they eat? I have a cheap source of brown kids if that would help.

Edit: It's worth mentioning I sent off for one of those "rare" snow leopards last year. Rare my arse! A couple of neighbours got one too and they fight like bastards!

Potatoes! After two months virtually carb-free, we had a trial run xmas dinner tonight. I had some roast potatoes and have been feeling silly ever since.

    Marzipan though? Isn't it!?

By April you're gonna need a trailer to transport your guns Mike

I love my HW77k, partly because it was my first rifle but mostly because it's just.... well,..... so good

They are a cracking rifle for sure. I'm almost glad I had the initial problem with not being able to remove the open sight because when the rifle was replaced I changed it from .177 to .22 and the .22 is definitely sweeter out of the box.
