Hi Magic, It's like a grubscrew, I was thinking or turning a bit of stainless steel down to make a knurled thumbwheel and threading it to replace the one that's in (Looks a bit home made from a bolt with the head cut off!!)

Yes, my Mk1 is exactly the same, you can actually see the hacksaw "skip" marks in it.
