    Red face Painting a Rifle?

    Hi,

Im new in this forum, but i have been a user of Airguns for a while.

My question is, I have a chinese Rifle (SeaLion) 5,5 mm and for some years it was stored. Some days ago I found it and it was a little rusty. After some work the rust is almost gone, but here is my question. Can I paint the Rifle? I know real weapons have a special treatment, im not sure how do you call it in english, but in spanish is "pavonado".

I was thinking about using some black spray paint, this will give me a very thin layer and without any brights.

I will wait for your answer.

    Thanks !!!

    José Luis

    Hi Jose,

The metal treatment is known as blueing which can be acheived in several different ways.

It is possible to paint a rifle with good results, I'm doing one now as an ongoing project here on the bbs.

Radiator enamel in spray cans gives a decent result.
