Horsham Hawks Summer Open Series 2017 – Round Four and Series Results

Well done to everybody and many thanks for the support shown by those who turned up for the final round of the Horsham Hawks Summer Open Series today. You will recall that the series was run over four rounds, with the top three percentage scores counting towards the final score.

Very many congratulations to all the top scorers, class winners and runners up. Of particular note was Justin Rayner, who won the series with 300% - that’s three top scores out of four rounds of the competition! Also Dougie Falcon for coming second in the springer class, when he only started shooting just on a year ago! And to Abi Maw for securing the top Juniors’ score today of 57; and for winning that class overall with some other very fine scores. Clearly someone to watch for the future!

Please find below, the results published in the usual format. Any errors are mine alone. If I have got something wrong, please be kind enough to ‘ping me’ a note and I will make any necessary corrections.

I have prepared a spreadsheet for presenting the ‘series results’. This is available for viewing at:-

If the link doesn't work, please go to the Horsham Hawks HFT Wix website and navigate your way through to the scoresheet.

    Very best wishes,

    Phil Jacobs

I put one positional on its arris..... cool.

Worst thing though was little Russ, bending my ear about his 'flat earth' theories!... jeeez!

No i am not coming to any conventions with you in your van....... don't care how comfy it is!
(what is it with these theory guys....eh?) just weird....

Unlucky Justin, nearly had it mate! Great shooting though! 'ard this game innit!

Well done Justin! 300%! Well done all the other class winners too.
What happened Spencer? Thought you were going to beat me today. Was there more grass in front of the targets?

The joys of being a number two.....

Many many thanks to horsham hawks for yet another great course, throughout the summer and sihft series horsham has become my favourite place to shoot in competition and to top that off with some silverware in my first season really is the icing on the cake.
Big congrats to Derek winning the recoil class, the better man won making me a number two, but a very happy number two nonetheless. 😂😂😂😂
Thanks again horsham and looking forward to the winter series.

Thank you Hawkies for a great series, enjoyed every minute of it ( well almost, today was very nerve racking).

What an end to a series, half a dozen or more shooters battling it out on the final round. Well fought everyone, congratulations to the class winners, especially Dougie.

Mike your certainly right, it's an 'ard game (damn free standers)

Lastly, thank you to everyone for this and all the other clubs series, this has got to be one of, if not the best regions in the country to compete in.

See you all soon, cheers everyone

Well said and so very true, Justin - it's the reason why so many of us come over from Hampshire to enjoy the high quality shooting that the Sussex clubs lay on.
