Thumbs down Oh dear, Mr Gaylord!

    Whoops!

I sometimes look in on the PyramydAir Daily Blog.

And it can often provide excellent, interesting reading.

I hadn't looked in for a while. I've just had a quick look. On the 15th he has started an article on the HW85 and its US brothers.

A little way down he states that Weihrauch name their guns by the stroke length in millimetres. Now, this may well be true in the odd case, like the '80, which he correctly states.

However, he also states that the HW35 has a 35mm stroke!

    Naughty boy!

    Ooo-er, imagine a 70mm stroke on a pistol, Nick!

And a 100mm hammer stroke on that pffft gun!

And no wonder the little HW25 couldn't muster up much power, too!

To be fair to him, he has admitted his error, quickly, on the same blog.

Despite occasionally getting things wrong (see part 1 of his write up on the old Diana 50, where both Mike Driskill and I pointed out some inaccuracies), he remains one of the best airgun writers out there. He knows a huge amount, shoots well, and has an infectious enthusiasm.

Agree with all the points you make, Geezer, and I enjoy his blog.

Often an excellent resource for information, too.

Thread was just a bit of a light-hearted tongue in cheek affair. Although I hadn't seen that he had corrected it. Me bad.
