can you stainless steel tumble nickle cases?

Just wondering if you can put nickle cases in a stainless steel tumbler or would it knock the nickle plating off?

Works fine for me, I do this for 357 cases - no problem.

I shoot nickel cases in my .357Mag Sabre Defence/Ruger Super Redhawk, but I've never ever tumbled them. I just use the same Lee carbide FRS die since I had a 'proper' .357Mag back in 1986.

    Works for me.

Well yes and no. I friend of mine tumbled Nickel cases in Walnut shells and it took the plating off everywhere except inside the rebate. He still used them though. Prolly OK if you go easy at it.

No problem with mine. Some are over thirty years old from the good old days and they still come up lovely and shiny.
