since photobucket started charging to hyperlink its made it difficult to see on other forums how people did it . the pictures dont show up.

the AWT ones definitely went in with the fat end in the piston.

try contacting edgar brothers who import the hatsan rifles and ask if they can tell you how it goes in .

Another AWT fat end first here. If you do it the other way around like Hatsan appears to you'll have a different amount of weight in the piston, if that matters I don't know.

I thought that also. Like adding a piston weight. Unless the shaft weighs more that the outer tube . So the shaft being flung out rather than the outer being flung forward would be more weight ?

I know when I did the Hi-power I left a bit more of the spring guide (spring guide was part of the back block and you cut it down. ) than the instructs stated. If I had cut it to the stated size I think it would have been under powered as mine was around 11.8ftlbs . I filled the guide down a little then got it shooting at 11.5 ftlbs and left it there. It creeped up a little . Another strip and file the guide took it down again.

I sold it not long after. So I'm not sure if it settled there.
